Boston Family Photography

When you hire me to take your photographs, you are hiring more than a typical portrait photographer. I have an extensive background in the arts, and consider myself first and foremost an artist. I majored in photography at Southern New Hampshire University, received a Masters of Photography at the Rocky Mountain College of Art. My work has won various awards and been exhibited nationally, and I’ve also lectured at colleges and high schools.

My Specialities

Elizabeth specializes in fine art, documentary portraiture. During photography sessions, Elizabeth weaves together a scenic narrative that captures her subjects interacting with each other and their environment. The experience of working with Elizabeth is for people who appreciate beauty – in their own life and the world around them.

So, why does this set me apart from other photographers? It means that I bring a creative eye and photographic knowledge to each shoot. I scout scenes for the ideal light and composition, and my images often reference favorite artists and photographers, from Mary Cassatt to Sally Mann, Vermeer to Alec Soth. The main intention of each session is to capture the personality of my subjects, as well as the environment that surrounds them. Browse through my photos and decide for yourself how they compare to my competition. When you hire me to take your picture you will not just receive a smiley portrait, but instead a piece of art of you and/or your loved ones.
