This weeks Fine Art Friday goes out to Amy Grace, a thoughtful photographer based in San Francisco California. She found her love for photography when she began taking pictures of her children.
She photographs almost exclusively on film because it slows her down and makes her focus on the moments being captured. “I’m not technical. I don’t worry a lot about composition, or the exact angle of the light. I need to be there, living in that moment.” (Click magazine)
“Amy Grace is a writer and fine art film photographer, living in Marin County, California, with her two everythings, a ten year old daughter and four year old son. Her work has been featured in PDN magazine, Popular Photography, Click magazine, Dreamer Journal, Mozi magazine, The Center for Fine Art Photography, A. Smith Gallery among others. She believes that love deserves art and a record, that pictures of feelings are the best kind, and that when light doesn’t come from the outside, we make our own.” (http://www.abeautifullifephoto.com/#/page/38d3/about/)
Elizabeth notes that like Amy, she strives to capture the connections between siblings and their parents in a colorful and animated way.
