This is what I would call a successful family portrait session, and one that reminds me why I love Cambridge so much. The quaint red brick side walks, bustle of the centers, encouragement of small businesses, diverse collection of inhabitants, and intellilect to no end. For this session I got: a handsome (note the attractive use of an eggplant, yellow and navy wardrobe selection) and worldly family, ideal late summer day lighting, a good breeze in the air, and flowing conversation. Vivian and Shou met at Harvard Business School 5 years ago. Though they now reside in Hong Kong with their adorable baby girl, Felicity, they decided to book a family session during their visit back to Cambridge for their reunion. Wonderful idea, right?! (hint, hint ; )). This area has special meaning to both of them since in addition to going to grad school here, they also spent a lot of time at Vivian’s sister’s condo (who still lives there). So, I met up with them there and we took a walk through Harvard Square to the Longfellow House (with their gorgeous gardens) and then down the Charles and Harvard Footbridge to capture them a bit closer to the HBS campus (they made it clear, however, want this shoot to be all about the big H). Along the long walk I really got to know these guys and ended up joining them for a beer at Park (half-beer only for me!). Enjoy this light filled, city session.
