Newlywed Couple Portraits in Charlestown

This session was a gift from Jimmy to his new wife, Erika.  They didn’t have engagement photos done for their wedding this past fall and he thought it would be a sweet Christmas present – and I obviously think he made a great choice!  Originally from New York State, the two have lived up on Monument Hill in Charlestown for 4 years.  They asked me to capture the charm and beauty of the historic neighborhood in addition to their love and joy for each other.  Erika also asked me to include a lot of “artsy” shots – a photographer’s dream client!  So I broke out my Lensbaby for a few softer shots as well as incorporated the lively and gorgeous atmosphere of the neighborhood.  We finished off the shoot down in the Navy Yard, watching a perfect sunset over the Boston skyline.  I think the result is a series of portraits that are creative, classic and modern all at the same time.

Quick warning :  there are a lot of photos in this blog entry as I had a lot of trouble editing down my favorites.  I hope Erika and Jim love these photos as much as I do!
