This Tuti sure has some personality to her (and likes to talk with her hands)! Tuti contacted me for portraits to add to her new business website, Imagine Philanthropy. A little bit about her from her bio:
“energetic speaker, strategist and facilitator who inspires people and organizations to raise the visibility of their activism, be creative with their giving and work to change systems, businesses and culture for the greater good. Coach Tuti has been a leader in women’s rights, social justice philanthropy and women’s sports for three decades. Tuti enjoys utilizing the words and energy of her ancestors and some of her sheroes, including Maya Angelou, Ann Richards, and Gloria Steinem, to galvanize people’s learning experience. As a “spiritual jock” and women’s sports advocate, she integrates the topics of personal excellence, teamwork, competition, and self-care into her workshops, facilitations and speeches. Using her experiences as an athlete, basketball coach, former Chief Development Officer and co-CEO for the Women’s Sports Foundation, and philanthropist, Tuti brings insights about sports, leadership, power and money to philanthropic circles, Board rooms, and management teams. Tuti serves as President of her own consulting firm, Imagine Philanthropy, where she and her team support social enterprise leaders, CEO’s and their organizations in bringing form to their dreams. She is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of Tides and is a founding Board member of the Women Win Foundation. “
We decided to photograph Tuti shooting some hoops right next to the scenic Gloucester Harbor which looks over to her Rocky Neck neighborhood. We strolled along the beach for some more contemplative shots. Then, to capture her quirky side, we walked along to the construction zone of the upcoming Beauport, stopping by some other industrial backdrops. Had a lot of fun with this one!
